Mildred C. Wilson

Mildred was born December 30, 1921 in Rochester, NY, to Hilda and Herbert Carlson and baptized in the Lutheran Church.  Both her parents had emigrated from Sweden and she was always very proud of her heritage.
She  married Douglas H. Wilson of Fairport, NY, on April, 29, 1944, after working together at Eastman Kodak.  She also was secretary at Bausch & Lomb, Rochester, NY, Nottingham High School, Syracuse, NY, and at Howland High School, Warren, OH. She was an executive secretary at Van Huffel Tube Corp. and Packard Electric , both in Warren, Ohio.
She was a longtime choir member in the Syracuse Presbyterian church and an assistant Brownie leader.  She was a wonderful homemaker and loved to bake.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Ethel Schaer, her parents and her husband. She is survived by her children: Christine (Richard) Frey, Douglas (Lynn) Wilson, and Katherine (James) Ockerman, Six grandchildren:  Jennifer (James) Bogardus, Leah (Lee) Hanlin, Amy (James) DiBenedetto, Julie (Jimmy) tenPas, John Frey and Dianne Wilson and 8 great grandchildren. There will be no services, with interment at a later date in Penfield, NY. Memorials may be given to Masonic Village, Sewickley.
