Michael Carl Bulat, 67, passed away at his home on October 6, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born at Aliquippa Hospital on May 15, 1958, Michael lived a life full of laughter, honesty, and deep love for his family.
Michael spent his career with USAir and American Airlines, where he was known for his reliability, quick wit, and an uncanny ability to make coworkers laugh, even on the roughest days.
He was genuine to the core. What you saw was what you got. He was a man of strong opinions and you always knew exactly where he stood. That transparency, paired with his sharp wit and unwavering loyalty, and that’s what people loved about him. He was real, no sugar-coating, no pretending, just Michael.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Leslie Bulat, loving children, son Joshua Burton (wife Lyndsey), daughter Rachel Bulat, and his cherished grandchildren: Isaiah, Jack, Logan, and Maren all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
Michael is also survived by his siblings: Mark Bulat, Matthew Bulat (partner Jeff Noah), Mitchell Bulat (wife Melinda), and Mary Benavides, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who cherished his humor, strength, and presence.
Michael’s life was full of laughter, straight talk, and deep love. His presence will be missed immensely, but the stories he told, the lessons he gave, and the life he shared will live on in all of us.
All are welcome to honor the life of a man who was unapologetically himself. He will be deeply missed. Friends received at R. D. Copeland, Ltd., 867 Fifth Avenue, Coraopolis on Thursday from 2 – 7 pm.
