Matilde (Bruzio) Trunzo

Matilde (Bruzio) Trunzo, 93, of Moon Township from 1965-2022, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2025, in Melbourne, Florida. Matilde was born in Italy on August 25, 1932, one of four children to the late Settimo and Maria (Campisano) Bruzio. In 2003, Matilde was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Natale Trunzo, who she married on September 11, 1954. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings Frances, Marianna, and Vincenzo. Beloved mother of Lina Trunzo, Angelo “Butchie” (Diana) Trunzo, Mary Ann Rollins, Daniel (Cathy) Trunzo, and Thomas (Darleen) Trunzo; loving  grandmother of Jessica, Diana, Tanner, Carina (Jacob), Carissa, Danielle, and Matthew; great grandmother of Hailey, Krystal, Diana “Dee”, with another one on the way; also, loving nieces and nephews. Matilde immigrated from Italy after WWII. She was a member of St. Joseph Church. She retired in 1997 as a custodian from Western Hills School. Matilde was a great gardener and loved to can her garden produce. She loved to cook, was good at it, and enjoyed feeding others. She also enjoyed traveling. Visitation Friday (Oct. 10th) 2-4 & 6-8 at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave. with prayers on Saturday at 10: 30 AM followed by Mass at 11 AM at St. Joseph Church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery.
