Mary Lou Etzi

Mary Lou Etzi passed away Monday, September 5th, 2022 peacefully in her home surrounded by her family.  Mary Lou was 70 years old.  Mary Lou was born October 17, 1951 in Sewickley, PA to Thomas and Genevieve (Gerle) Bemis.  She came from a large family with 11 children.  She lived her entire life in Sewickley, PA.  Mary Lou married Mark Etzi, the love of her life on May 5th, 1973.  For over 49 years, they treasured their time together.  They were blessed with four children, Michael, Bethany, Thomas, and Christopher.  She was a devoted mother, always putting the needs of her children before her own.  Later in life, Mary Lou became Grandma to Brea, Reece, Aria, Carson, Anna, and Cole.  They brought great joy into her life.  Mary Lou's life modeled a life well-lived, following the example of her precious Lord and Savior.  She reflected humility, kindness, gentleness, and generosity in all that she did. Mary Lou is survived by her husband Mark, her children, Michael (Rochele Vezza), Bethany (Steven) Skaggs, Thomas, and Christopher (Emily Wieghaus), her grandchildren, Brea, Reece, Aria, Carson, Anna, and Cole, her sisters Carol Winston, Patti (Rich) Vescio, Donna (Gary) Bucuren, Terri (Keith) Ripple, and Lisa (Richard) Lohnes, her brothers John, Frank (late Robin), and Bryan (Suzanne)  Bemis, sister-in-law Jill Asti.  Preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Genevieve Bemis, and her brothers Thomas and Paul (surviving spouse Linda) Bemis.  Visitation at Copeland Funeral Home, Irving Chapel, 702 Beaver St Sewickley, PA on Monday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 10 AM at Blackburn United Methodist Church 910 Blackburn Rd Sewickley, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mary Lou's name are asked to be made to The Verland Foundation, 212 Iris Road, Sewickley, PA. 15143.
