Mary Frances Whitaker

On October 20, 2021, Mary Frances Whitaker, beloved wife of 41 years to Gary Robert Whitaker, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  Mary was born in Cleveland Ohio in 1959 and most recently lived in Leetsdale, Pennsylvania.  Mary is survived by her husband Gary Robert Whitaker, and by her children Diana Elizabeth Whitaker, who is married to Andrew Francis, Melinda Anne Whitaker, and Weston Robert Whitaker, who is married to Hayley Rucker and who are the parents of Mary’s two grandsons, Henry and James Whitaker.  Mary also is survived by her sisters Paula Rodgers, wife of the late William Rodgers, and Ann Belcastro, who is married to John Belcastro.  She was the daughter of the late Gilda Kleinhenz (nee Presutti) and Francis Kleinhenz.  Mary graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.S. in business administration, and from the New York School of Interior Design.  She will always be remembered for her kindness, wisdom, generosity and beauty, and was dearly loved by her family and many friends.

Friends received Sunday 3 – 5 pm at R.D. Copeland, Ltd., Irvine Chapel, 702 Beaver St., Sewickley.  Funeral Mass will be held at St. James Roman Catholic Church, 200 Walnut Street, Sewickley, PA at 10:30 am on Monday. (Everyone please meet at church)
