Mary Elizabeth (McCaughey) Stoner

Mary Elizabeth McCaughey Stoner, 88, of Sewickley died on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. Mary was born and raised in Pawtucket, RI where she met her future husband, the late Everett D. Stoner, at a local Girl’s Club dance. She started her career as a teacher’s aide at Pleasant View School in Moon Township and retired from PPG Industries after many years of dedicated service. One of Mary's greatest pleasures in recent years was watching videos of children discovering life's new experiences. They made her laugh, and she loved to laugh. She is survived by her children; Kathleen Stoner of Arlington, VA, Lori (Dale) Glossner of Bonita Springs, FL and John D. Stoner of Coraopolis. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the employees and residents of the Masonic Village for their loving care and support to their mother during her time with them since 2014. Services and interment private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association. Arrangements entrusted to R. D. Copeland, Inc., Moon Township.
