Mary Louise (Thomas) Schlentner

Mary Louise (Thomas) Schlentner, 95, a wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, passed away peacefully at Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver on Monday, January 4, 2021. Mary Lou was born in Rochester, PA on December 6, 1925, one of three to the late George Washington and Aldine (Wilde) Thomas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her daughter Janet Salopek and her brothers George Thomas and James Thomas. Mary Lou is survived by her beloved husband of 72 years, Herbert F. Schlentner; loving children Linda Moore (Michael) and Eric Schlentner (Patricia Schwalbach); her son-in-law John Salopek; three grandchildren Matthew Salopek (fiance Jessica), Jeff Salopek (Katie) and Greg Salopek (fiancé Natalie); cherished great grandchildren Lilliana, Amelia and Nolan. Mary Lou will be inurned in Sewickley Cemetery privately by her family. Because of Mary Lou’s love of animals, family suggests donations to the Beaver County Humane Society.
