Mary F. Krause

Krause, Mary F. (Basnak), of Moon Township, passed away at the age of 96 on Monday, June 5, 2023. She was born in Tarentum, PA on October 2, 1926.  Beloved wife of the late William E . Krause; loving mother of Cheryl (David) Stroup and Deborah Krause (Thomas Strusienski) and the late Ronald W. Krause (Faith Krause); sister of the late Emelia Momberger, Frank Basnak, Helen Swartzlander, John Basnak and Elizabeth Basnak. She was also survived by 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, all of whom loved her very much. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Margaret Mary Church and a past member of the Christian Mothers.  She enjoyed traveling with her family, reading, knitting, and doing crossword puzzles, but her biggest joy was spending time with her grand and great grandchildren. Friends received at R. D. Copeland, Inc., 981 Brodhead Road, Moon Township on Friday June 16, 2023 from 5 – 7 pm. A prayer service will be held on Saturday June 17, 2023 at 9 am at the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass in St Margaret Mary Church at 9:30 am. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
