Mary Ellen Coniglio

Mary Ellen Coniglio, age  85, of Moon Township PA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday,  March 19,  2026. She  was surrounded by her family who were always the  most important part of her life. Beloved wife of Thomas Coniglio;  the two have been inseparable for 71 years. Their love transcended all, leaving behind a deep wound as they were  prematurely ripped apart. Mary was a devoted and cherished mother to Karen Coniglio and Thomas  (Gwenay) Coniglio. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, London, Jordon, David, and Destiny.

            After suffering a debilitating, life altering stroke at age 55, Mary adapted to her new life with grace and determination. She went from a life  of endless phone conversations and having  dinner on the table for her family every  night, to  relearning how  to say, “I love  you” and  crafting wreaths with one hand. Mary’s favorite wreath is still proudly displayed as a central decoration in their  living  room today. Mary learned how  to bowl  perfect games on her tablet and facetime her grandchildren while maintaining style with matching pajama sets and her signature perm. Mary’s spark brought joy, love, and light to all of those around.

            Mary’s infectious lust  for life was admired and loved by everyone around her. Whether it was  the students at Robert Morris in the 1980’s when she worked  in the cafeteria or the many people that met her during Mary and Tom’s regular stops at King’s or Eat ‘n Park, to know her was to love her. Though she had many challenges in her life, Mary was a fighter. She faced every obstacle with strength and courage. Mary’s contagious laughter  served as  an inspiration  to everyone. Our hearts ache without her, but our memories of her will keep us forever  intertwined.
