Mark A. Habedank, 52, of Hookstown passed away at home on Friday, April 9, 2021 after a short battle with Cholangiocarcinoma, a rare yet aggressive cancer. Mark had a witty, dry sense of humor parallel to Monty Python that he carried with him until the very end, making those around him laugh when all they wanted to do was cry. He had an innate ability to see something in his mind and design it, build it, remodel it, and maintain it. There was not anything he could not build and fix. He was quite the skilled handyman. He enjoyed traveling. His most recent adventures took him to Sedona, AZ and Cuba. His passion was photography. He captured the beauty of stars, trees, and his favorite season of fall. His favorite pastime was camping at Parker Dam State Park with family and friends.
He will be remembered and missed by his wife and best friend, Lisa Gentle; his children and stepsons, Kyle (Ashley) Habedank, Amanda Habedank (Miranda Robson), Andrew Gentle (Brandy Richey), Sean Gentle and Noah Gentle; 4 grandchildren; his sisters, Erica Habedank and Melissa (Charles) Lake; and his niece, Dana Habedank.
Friends will be received Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Copeland’s, 981 Brodhead Road, Moon Twp., where a Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mark’s memory to Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, https://cholangiocarcinoma.org.
