Margaret (PJ) O’Neil Smith departed this life peacefully at home surrounded by her family on May 31, 2022 at the age of 78. Widow of the late Edward Sylvester Smith. Daughter of the late Ruth and William O’Neil. Sister of Jack O’Neil (companion Carol), Jean (Chuck) DeSabato and the late Bill O’Neil (surviving spouse Corinne, and former spouse Jean). Sister-in law of the late Anne O’Neil. Beloved mother of Denise Crump, Dawn (Paul) Wells, Dana Spadaccia and Rebecca Baker. Grandmother of Ashley, Travis (Victoria), Deion, Jessica (Justin), Cassie, Donny, Brandi and Harlee, 9 great-grandchildren, and many extended family members.

PJ was a faithful member of Faithbridge Community Church in McKees Rocks and, enjoyed volunteering at the Good News Place for many years. She was a member of the board for the Sto-Rox Little Vikings Football Organization for many years as well. PJ was also an avid crafter, enjoyed photography, genealogy, and loved to dance. She had many friends and was a well-loved member of her community. A memorial service to celebrate PJ’s beautiful life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to R.D. Copeland, Ltd, Coraopolis.
