It is with profound sadness that the family of Margaret Lorraine Beer announces her passing on Saturday November 15th 20205 at the age of 96,. She lived a brave and spirited life defined by love, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to her family.
Born on August 4th, 1929 in Pittsburgh, Lorraine, also lovingly known to many as Tootsie, was the cherished daughter of (Edward and Armella Rohrkaste). From a young age, her infectious zest for life was apparent.
Tootsie’s true calling and greatest joy was her role as a dedicated matriarch. She created legendary traditions and memories that will last a life time.
To know Tootsie was to love her. She was a true friend to many and had a wonderful , mischievous sense of humor. She loved entertaining a group of friends on a Saturday evening for a game a bridge, watching all of her children and grandchildren sporting events and any large gathering that involved family.
Tootsie was preceded in death by her husband, [James Beer] and son [James (Jimmy) Beer]. She was a loving mother to [James (Susie) Beer, Leslie (John) Smith, Jeff Beer and Stacy (Stephen) Weihman.] She was the proud grandmother (Tootsie) to her wonderful grandchildren, [Colby (Amanda) Erwin, Cody (Derek) Gsell, Haley (Eric) Polaski, Landin Beer (Eric) Cameron Beer, Kara Weihman and Nolan Weihman]. She also leaves behind her three great grandchildren, Hadley Gsell, Sloan Erwin and Brooks Polaski.
The family takes comfort in knowing that Tootsie ’s fun-loving spirit will live on through the countless memories and traditions she instilled.
