Louise Franz

Louise Franz, of Moon Township, age 88, died on Monday, May 23, 2022 in Huntsaville, Tx. Beloved wife of Robert W. Franz,; loving mother of Ernest R. Franz, Karen L. McDermot and Susan Elizabeth Badzik; grandmother of Robert McDermot, Robin McDermot, Nicole Badzik, Michael Badzik, Brittany Huckabee and Bethany Reese. Also survived by 2 great grandchildren. Louise was a Grove City College graduate and continued her education at Carnegie Mellon, attaining a master’s degree in library science. She went on to work for Pittsburgh Demoines as a secretary in the Engineering department and then worked in their library from 1978 – 1986. She was a founding member of the Providence Presbyterian Church beginning in 1975. She was also responsible for creating the school and church libraries.  Friends will be received at R. D. Copeland, Ltd., 867 Fifth Avenue, Coraopolis on Wednesday 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 pm. The family will also receive friends at the Providence Presbyterian Church, 77 Phillips Lane, Robinson Twp., PA 15136 on Thursday from 10 am until time of the Funeral Service at 11 am. Burial will follow in Allegheny County Memorial Park.
