Louis Patrick Valicenti, born March 17, 1944, died peacefully in his sleep on Fathers Day, June 15, 2025.
Loving husband to the late Sandra Marie, cherished father to Dana Marie (John) Cermak. Proud grandfather of Jonathan Patrick Cermak and brother of June (Paul) Loedding. Lou is also survived by his sister-in-law Renee (Robert) Gobao, Niece, Gretchen (Neil) Holtzer-Aurelio, and nephew Bobby Gobao.
Lou taught 30+ years in the Pittsburgh Public Schools system. He touched many lives with his huge heart. An avid Pittsburgh sports fan, Lou knew more about sports than the sportscasters. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. The family would like to thank Tapestry Senior Living and Advanced Hospice in Moon Township for helping Lou enjoy his last few years in his new home, playing games and socializing with his friends.
Visitation will be held at the R.D. Copeland Funeral, Inc, 981 Brodhead Road, Moon Twp on Wednesday (6/18) from 6 – 8 PM and Thursday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Friday (6/20) at 9:30 am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret Mary Church at 10 am. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
