Linda Diane Schober, née Snyder, 73, of Sewickley, Pennsylvania, passed from this life on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023.
Linda is survived by her husband of 50 years, S. Scott Schober of Sewickley and their son, Alexander Schober of Steamboat Springs, CO. She also is survived by her mother, Kathleen Snyder, sister, Susan Good and many loving family members and friends.
Born in Canandaigua, New York, Linda graduated from Ewing High School in Trenton, New Jersey and received her undergraduate degree in mathematics from Gettysburg College in 1972. Upon her graduation, Linda and Scott moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, where she worked in administration at Eckerd College. They then moved to Columbia, Maryland, where she worked for Digital Equipment Corporation. And when the pair relocated to the Greater Pittsburgh area — where they’ve resided for the last four decades — she worked in benefits administration for PPG Industries, Inc. for 16 years before retiring.
Linda was an avid equestrian who, according to her sister, always loved horses. Receiving her first horse at the age of 16, she spent countless hours caring for seven horses over her many years of riding and competing. She was a true world traveler and enjoyed organizing trips to new places alongside her friends. She also was active within her community, serving with the Child Health Association of Sewickley for several years.
