Linda C. (Smith) Millender

Linda (Smith) Millender, 78, of Conway, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Heritage Valley Beaver. Born on May 9, 1946, Pittsburgh, PA, she was one of five daughters born to the late Amos and Estelle (Champion) Smith. Linda loved the Lord and was so happy when she attained her ministerial certificate. She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church. For many years, she worked as a nurse’s aid at St. Claire Memorial Hospital. Linda enjoyed arts and crafts and with her generous spirit gave them as gifts for the elderly when they played Bingo. On July 26, 2021, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis, who she married on November 29th, 1999. She was also preceded by her four sisters Arlene, Earlene, Bunny, and Jane Ellen Smith. Loving mother of John (Veronica) Jones, Jesse (the late Hope) Jones, Jerome (Lisa) Jones, Timothy (Tina) Jones, Louis Jones, Anthony Jones, Renita (Jefferey) Tremble, and Tiffany (Tracy) Smedley; cherished sister of Sandy (Stanley) Jones; also, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. The charity that Linda held close to her heart and that she frequently supported was St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
