Leonard “Len” Ishman Sr., born March 24, 1949, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 3, 2026, at the age of 77.
Len was the son of the late Margret and Wayne Ishman and brother of Eddie Ishman (Nancy) and the late Jim Ishman. He was the devoted husband of the late Linda Ishman Shulin.
Len was a proud father to Derek Ishman (Angela), Dana Ishman Ellis (David Blair), and Leonard “Lenny” Ishman Jr. He was a loving grandfather to the late Myranda Ishman, Tyler Ishman, Kayla Ishman, Cody Ishman, and Alena Ishman, and a cherished great-grandfather to fourteen great-grandchildren. Among those close to Len was his good friend, Jerry Lang.
Len worked for many years at Sardello’s, where he remained until his retirement.
Those who knew Len knew just how easily he could make a connection with nearly anyone he met. He was friendly, outgoing, and genuinely interested in the people around him. Len had a way of turning conversations with strangers into conversations with friends. He was well known within his community, while those closest to him knew the warmth, humor, and affection that made him so special. His unmistakable presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
