Leonard Charles “Butch” Barger, 78, of Moon Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver. He was born August 27, 1942, in Clymer, PA to the late Lulabelle and Wesley Barger. He attended Garfield High School, graduated in 1960, and then entered the U.S. Air Force until discharge in 1965. He then married and is survived by his wife Ann (Weinstein); son Gary Barger; daughter Amy Moore and her husband Ronald; grandchildren Peyton and Ryan; sister Marilyn Zanco. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters Gaynel and Regina. Leonard was a computer programmer for both the Bendix Corp (New Jersey) transferring in 1981 to Smith Kline Beecham retiring in 2011. His passion was being a member of the Coraopolis Elks for over 44 years. He also loved golf, bowling and playing on his computer. Visitation Wednesday 2-4, 6-8 at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. where a Blessing Service will be held on Thursday (TIME LATER). Burial will follow with full military honors at Sewickley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in his name to the BPO of the Elks #1090, 1150 Stoops Ferry Rd., Moon Township, PA 15108.
