Lee J. Bilby, Jr., 72, of Moon Twp., passed away at his residence on Sunday, January 17, 2021. Born February 2, 1948 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL., he was one of eight children to the late Lee J. Bilby, Sr. and Lucille (Chickini) Bilby. Graduate of Langley, Veteran of the United States Army, he was currently employed at Horix Manufacturing as a welder for the last 50 years. He volunteered much of his time on the Moon Twp Volunteer Fire Company holding office of Treasurer and Chairman of Ways and Means. He coached baseball for the Community Baseball youth little league. He enjoyed fishing in his favorite spot at Deep Valley, Oakdale, loved football and going to the casino.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, David and Daniel.
He will be remembered and missed by his loving wife, Mary Jo (Napsha) Bilby; his children, Megan (Ron) Songer and Brian (Michele) Bilby; his grandchildren, Ronnie Songer and Sydney Bilby; his siblings, Maryanna Blaney, Lucille Carlgren, Patricia Grazulis, Michael Bilby and Timothy Bilby.
Visitation Monday 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Copeland’s, Moon Twp, 981 Brodhead Road, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday 1pm. Interment at National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
The family is requesting in lieu of flowers, donations in Lee’s memory can be made to either the Moon Township Volunteer Fire Company or American Heart Association.
