Lawrence "Larry" DeKort

September 16, 1952- June 18, 2024

Lawrence “Larry” DeKort went to be with the lord on June 18, 2024 in his home.  Larry was born in Wallaceburg, Ontario. to Virginia “Jenny” DeKort and the late August “Augie” DeKort. Surviving are daughters Wendy DeKort, and Megan Goodwin (Tyler Goodwin). Also surviving his brother David DeKort (late Paula DeKort) of Canada, sister Kimberlyn Keith (David Keith) from Seattle.

Grandson Grady Goodwin and Granddaughter Lucy Zubek. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Larry was a graduate of East Forest High school. He worked at Glass Containers in Marienville, PA until the early 1980’s, then moved to Atlanta, GA to work at the glass factory there. He moved to Pittsburgh in 1986 where he worked for USAir until 2003, and then drove for Parking Garage of America until he retired. Larry enjoyed spending time with his family, doing a bit of gambling and watching all sports.

No services will be held at the request of the family. Arrangements by Copeland’s. If desired, family suggests donations in his name to the American Heart Association.
