Laverne May Stokes

Laverne May Stokes; Age 83, of Moon Twp, passed away on Thursday, December 25th. Born in Sewickley, PA on April 11, 1942, Laverne was the daughter of  the late Howard C. and Elizabeth H. (Nozar) Stokes. Laverne was the sister of the late Robert J. Stokes, Howard L. Stokes and James A.Stokes. Special niece of the late Irene Gibbons. Aunt of Diana Stokes-Trunzo, Robert J. Stokes II, Susan L. Stokes, Terry A. Stokes, Christopher Stokes, James A. Stokes, Jr and Justin A. Stokes. Also survived by cousins John Gibbons, Charles Stokes and the late Jack Stokes and the late Judy Stokes (Babilion). Laverne was a lover of dogs throughout her life. She also enjoyed traveling to Canada, Canadota Lake and Round Lake. She also cherished time with family playing cards. Friends will be received at the R.D. Copeland Funeral Home, 867 5th Avenue, Coraopolis on Friday from 11am until time of services at the funeral home at 12 Noon. Interment will follow at the Coraopolis Cemetery.
