On Sunday morning, April 24, 2022, our precious Kylee Elise was promoted to glory with our Lord. God’s promise that we are absent from the body and present with the Lord became her eternal reality. She was welcomed to Heaven in the waiting arms of her grandfather Albert Martelli, Sr., and her grandmother Bettye Harris, and her two uncles James Sciulli and Robert Sitzler. Kylee, born on July 14, 2000, in Pittsburgh, PA, was the only child and cherished beyond words, of Albert T. Martelli, Jr. and Rebecca (Harris) Martelli, who survive her. She is also survived by her grandmother Joan Martelli; aunts and uncles: Nancy Webster, Sharon Butter (David), Carol Gracy (Scott), Jeanne Peckich (Phil), Donna Sciulli, David Harris, Jon Christopher Harris, William Harris (Monica); and many loving cousins; Christian Brothers and Sisters; her Zeta Family and extended Grove City Family; and her loving puppy, Cooper.

Kylee made her home in Moon Township, attended Moon Elementary Schools, Rhema Christian School and graduated in 2018 from Eden Christian Academy, Sewickley where she was inducted into the National Honor Society and a member of the Cheerleading Squad. During her time at Eden, she discovered her love of children and desire to teach. In 10th grade, she was part of a mission trip to Costa Rica where she fell in love with the people. Grounded in faith and fueled with desire, she wanted to do more. She, along with two others, organized a dance-a-thon to raise money for thier senior project, building a house for a family in Costa Rica. They were granted special permission by the Academy for their project. Their mission was fulfilled, the home was built, and a family was blessed because of their accomplishments.

Kylee was a senior at Grove City College, 3 weeks from graduation as a future educator. She worked at the Footprints in the Sand Day Care, where she was beloved. She was Co-Captain of the Cheerleading Team at Grove City.

Kylee was energetic and a life-long disciple for Christ, engaged in daily devotions. She was an avid reader of the Bible. Kylee was a member of Prince of Peace Church. She was a Chaplin of her Tri- Zeta Sorority, a Bible Study Leader, Minister to her fellow students, worked at the Grove City College Bookstore. Everyone who met Kylee, loved her, and considered her a friend. Such a promising future ahead. She was looking forward to the new chapter in her life, learning to cook and making a difference in children’s bright futures as a teacher.

Kylee had an enthusiastic sense of humor and an infectious laugh. She was a joy to be around. She was loyal and dedicated. As we all feel this tragic loss, we ask that you keep her family in prayer. Kylee is one with the Saints.

Visitation Thursday 2-8 at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. Please meet at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, 405 Frederick Ave., Sewickley, PA 15143 for funeral service on Friday at 11 AM.
