It is with a sad heart that we announce the passing of our beloved, Kendra “Baby K” Bryant, age 51, of Westland, Michigan, formerly of Coraopolis, PA, on March 29, 2025. Kendra was born at Sewickley Valley Hospital on March 31, 1973, to her proud parents, Kenneth Bryant, Jr. and the late Brenda Jackson Bryant. Kendra was a beautiful baby who maintained a profound measure of loveliness throughout her entire life.

She had great style and a winning smile. However, beyond her physical attributes, it was her gorgeous spirit, great generosity, and “above and beyond” amount of kindness that defined who Kendra was. Kendra was a petite person, less than 5 feet tall, but she stood tall in character—with fierce determination and boundless compassion. She was also highly intelligent, having been an excellent student throughout her educational career. Kendra was an honor graduate of Cornell High School, Class of 1991, where she proudly graduated in the top 10 of her class and was crowned "Best Dressed."

After high school, she matriculated at The Ohio State University, where she studied for several years. Kendra had a formidable wit that helped her easily win over people and put them at ease. Along with her one-of-a-kind laugh, Kendra was blessed with a strong will and an indomitable spirit. After her time at Ohio State, she returned to Coraopolis, determined to provide for her son, Darian Charles Bryant. Later, she was blessed to meet her partner, Jammea (Jamie) Fisher. During their union, they welcomed a daughter, Jaylin Renee Fisher. After Jammea’s passing, in true Kendra fashion, she picked herself up, dusted herself off, and pressed on to carve out a beautiful life for her children.

Kendra began a long and storied career with Starbucks Coffee Corporation, rising through the ranks from barista to store manager. Over 25 years, she managed several stores across multiple states and retired with distinction in September 2024. Her work ethic was unmatched, and she left an indelible mark on everyone she worked with.

Kendra had a big heart. She was not only a mother to her own children, Darian and Jaylin, but also embraced the role of “mom” to her nieces, Carleshia Mitchell and Justice Bryant, raising them as her own with fierce love and devotion.

Her greatest earthly treasure, however, was her role as “Gaga” to her sweet granddaughter, Sarai Noel Wilson. The light in Kendra’s eyes grew even brighter with Sarai’s presence.

Kendra’s generosity extended beyond her family—she often opened her heart and home to loved ones near and far. She was a consummate hostess, known for her welcoming spirit, warm meals, and beautiful home adorned with blooming plants that flourished under her care—just like the people lucky enough to know her.

But beyond all the titles—mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, cousin, career woman—Kendra wore her faith most beautifully. She was a daughter of the King, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Before her passing, Kendra accepted the free pardon of sin and stood firm in her identity as a beloved child of God.

Kendra leaves to cherish her memory: her father and stepmother, Kenneth and Michelle Bryant, Jr.; her daughter Jaylin Fisher; her son Darian Bryant; her granddaughter Sarai Wilson; her brothers Justin Bryant (Kara Diatol) and Quincy Bryant; her sister Tandra Williams; her uncle Gary Bryant (Linda); her nieces Carlee Mitchell, Justice Bryant, Karstin Bryant, and Tania Bradbury; her nephews Justin Bryant Jr. and Jaylil Bryant; and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Brenda Jackson Bryant; maternal grandparents, Charles W. and Willa Jackson, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Marlene Bryant, Sr.; her aunts Michelle Bryant and Pearl Jean Rucker; and her maternal uncles, W. Ray Jolly and Charles W. Jackson, Jr.

Kendra's light, love, and legacy will forever echo in the hearts of those she touched. We will miss her laugh, her wisdom, her unwavering strength and her fussing. Though her earthly journey has ended, her spirit lives on in every blossom, every act of love, and every life she nurtured.

As we lay her to rest, may she find eternal peace in the arms of the Savior. We celebrate a life well-lived and a soul that lives on in every sunrise and in the voice of her granddaughter calling out, "Gaga."

Friends will be received at the R.D. Copeland Funeral Home, 867 Fifth Avenue, Coraopolis on Friday from 4 - 8 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 AM.
