Kathryn “Kitty” Gilbert Druzisky, of Moon Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 28, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, on May 1, 1938, to the late John and Luella (Barton) Gilbert. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Gilbert, and sisters, Mary Reinhart, Margaret Blumer, Madeline Schwartz, Joanne McCandless and Patricia Berkebile. She was a 1957 Quaker Valley High School graduate, where she met lifelong friends and her husband Frank of 65 years. A caring wife, mother and grandmother, Kitty loved nothing more than a house filled with family, love and laughter. Visitors to her home will also remember the most wonderful smells - she had a knack for baking, and those who knew her loved her apple pies. Kitty was an avid doll collector and a talented painter of ceramics. She was a devoted Catholic and an active member of the Saint Margaret Mary Church - Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish for more than 60 years. She used her many talents to serve the church, including volunteering at the rectory to count the offerings and lending her lovely voice to the choir each Sunday. Kitty never met a stranger and always greeted you with a smile. Her patient and kind spirit will be truly missed.
She was the loving wife of Frank T. Druzisky for 65 years; the beloved mother of Linda (Jeffrey) Davidson and Beth (Ronald) George; loving grandma to Kathryn (Clarke) Smithson, Hannah George and Lilly George; and great-grandmother to Amelia Smithson.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. at Copeland’s Funeral Home in Moon Township. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Saint Margaret Mary Church - Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish.
