Katherine M. (Voyvodich) Egan

Katherine Egan; Of Moon Township, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved daughter of Harriette and the late Martin Voyvodich. Cherished wife of 40 years to Patrick Egan. Devoted mother of Elisa (Patrick) McAlister, Thomas (Ciara) Egan and Caroline Egan (James Carney). Sister of Theodore (Alison) Voyvodich, Denise (Wesley) Sipe, Margaret Voyvodich and the late Richard (surviving spouse Deborah) Voyvodich. Grandmother of Cooper Egan, Lainey McAlister and Dylan Egan. Also survived by many loving family members and dear friends. 

Kathy’s memory will never fade for the family and friends she has left behind. Everyone knew her abundant generosity, beautiful smile, wit, giant heart, and those big hazel eyes! Kathy had the kindest heart and would literally give you the shirt off her back. Between Sunday afternoons at her parents’, birthdays, holidays, special occasions, and vacations at the beach, there was never a time when Kathy wouldn’t bring the party. She loved living and squeezed every drop of laughter and love from it. 

A cancer diagnosis in October, 2021 was devastating news. Kathy fought like a warrior and surpassed all expectations to survive years beyond norms for her disease. She welcomed grandchildren, traveled, attended weddings, cared for her mom, and always brought hope and joy. 

Kathy had many occupations throughout her life including being a nurse, an airline reservationist and a bank employee, but her favorite job was being a mother and wife. Her love will live on forever etched in the hearts of her soulmate and best friend, Pat, children, and grand babies.

Kathy was an unforgettable wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, in-law, and friend. Her memory will live on with us forever.

A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, St. Margaret Mary Church, Moon Twp on Friday at 12 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kathy's name can be made to the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, Pittsburgh, 5150 Centre Avenue, Pittsburgh PA 15232
