June M. Evans, 83, of Moon Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at UPMC Jameson Hospital, New Castle. June was born in South Hampton, England on June 16, 1941. June married the love of her life on May 13, 1961, Anthony “Tony” Evans. Tony preceded her in death on June 26, 2014. June was proud to have worked as a server for 64 years. Some of you may have know her as the waitress at the Double Tree in Moon Township, that was tiny, had the charming British accent, was always kind and a good listener. June was a lover of dogs. Through her years, she probably cared for 15 or so senior dogs that always felt cherished. She had a beautiful yard that she impeccably cared for, so much so, that it looked like you would imagine, as a “Secret Garden”. She loved to shop, mostly for clothes and custom jewelry, and would end her shopping with lunch with her fellow shoppers. Hence her name “Lady who Lunches”. June and Tony never had any children but that didn’t stop her from getting the love of a family through her friends. She is survived by her chosen families Krissy and Randy Neish, their son, her “grandson” Milo Neish; Edward “Butch” Novak, Carole Wrasks, Gemma Farris and Cathleen Shuhilo. A Memorial Service is being planned to celebrate her life with her clients that also became friends, along with her family at DoubleTree Moon Township on Thursday, February 6th at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The Grove at Greenville, 110 Fredonia Rd., Greenville, PA 16125. Arrangements by R.D. Copeland Funeral Home.
