Judy (Hunter) Whitcomb, 63, of Stowe Township, passed away peacefully at Allegheny General Hospital with her husband and brother by her side. She was born in Korea on December 4, 1959, one of two children born to the late John and Soni (Il) Hunter. Judy was the beloved and cherished wife of James H. Whitcomb whom she married on December 19, 1988. She is also the loving sister of Jack and Lois Hunter; special aunt of Garrett and Tyler (Abby) Hunter; great aunt of Callan, Waylin, and Easton; daughter-in-law of Earl and Margaret Rothfuss. Judy was a 1977 graduate of Montour High School where she excelled in art. She was a graduate of the Pittsburgh Art Institute in Graphic Art. Her gifted profession was as a talented artist specializing in Folk Art and crafts. She attended many trade shows, some being Sugar Loaf where she was the featured artist, Penn’s Colony, Gettysburg, Bedford Fall Foliage, Edison NJ, and Roger’s Ohio. Judy and her husband both attended Christ Church at Grove Farm. Please join us as we celebrate this young lady’s life of creativity on Thursday, November 9, 2023 with memorial visitation from 10 AM until time of her Memorial Service at 11 AM at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in her name if desired to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
