Josephine (Romandetti) Di Fiore, 95, of Coraopolis, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 6, 2024, at Concordia at Villa St. Joseph. Josephine was born on May 28, 1928, in Youngstown, OH, the last surviving child of five born to the late Nunzio and Lillian (Cataffa) Romandetti. In 1987, Josephine was preceded in death by her husband Carmen Di Fiore of 42 years. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her four brothers Christy Romandetti (the late Josephine), Jimmy Romandetti (surviving spouse Margie), Tony Romandetti (surviving spouse Dolores), and KIA Frank Romandetti (a Korean War Veteran). Josephine is survived by her beloved sons and daughters -in- law Frank and Jenny Di Fiore and Carmen and Sandy Di Fiore; cherished grandmother of Lisa, Jennifer, Tony, Courtney, and Hailey; great grandmother of Hayden, Sienna, Dakota, Kendall, Harper, Colton, Kellen, Jonathan, Anthony, and Sumter. As a young girl, Josephine worked at her dad’s restaurant in Youngstown, OH. It was at this restaurant that she learned to cook and bake delicious meals of Pasta and Meatballs, Braciole and other delectable Italian Traditional Dishes. Josephine was a homemaker in every sense of the word and her porch was a destination for many. She was a wonderful host for family, holidays, and her coffee drinking neighbors. People loved to visit her, feeling the warmth of her personality. She loved the simple things in life. A good Steeler Game or and hand of five hundred Gin Rummy would make her smile. It was in 1987 that Josephine and her husband Carmen took a once in a lifetime trip. It was to Utah, Brimham Young University, to attend their granddaughter, Jennifer’s 100-meter race where she participated in the Junior Olympics. Services were private by Copeland’s.
