John (Jim) Shahen

John (Jim) Shahen, 91 passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021, after a brief illness. A veteran of the Korean War He served his country in the US Navy.  A machinist by trade he was employed by J&L Steel for 30+ years. He was preceded in death by his wife Maxine Shahen, two brothers Joe and Charlie and a sister Amelia. He is survived by his brother Pete and two sisters Rosalin and Marcella, his children Jimmy (Dana) Shahen, Mary (Monicah) Shahen, Habib(Kate) Shahen and his 5 grandsons Daniel, Andre, Nicholas, Adam and Noah Shahen. As well as his beloved niece, Dawn Marie Zarlingo and Susan Pucci whom he loved as daughters. A hero and legend to his family, friends and country, Jim touched the lives of many and he will be greatly missed. Arrangements by Copeland. Service and internment will be held at a later date.
