John “Jack” Lysaght,77, a humble man, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Good Samaritan Hospice House. Born in Pittsburgh on September 18, 1948, he was son of the late John F. Lysaght, Sr. and Dorothy (Barone) Lysaght. And lived most of his life in Coraopolis and Robinson Township. Jack, a true Patriot, he served in the U.S. Marine Corp as a Corporal during the Vietnam War. He was recipient of Vietnam Service Medal with one star and the Vietnam Campaign Medal with device along with the National Defense Service Medal and Certificate of Commendation. Jack was Past Commander of VFW Post 402. He also was a charter member of the Marine Corp League, Ohio Valley Detachment #882. Jack was a member of St. Joseph Church, The Teamsters Union, Local 211 and retired truck driver for the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. Jack is survived by his significant other Miriam Hunt and his dear friends Tracy (Billy) Ebert. Also survived by his five children, Jeff, Lorinda, Jackie, John III, and Christopher, his sister Rose from Washington, and his brother Jimmy and sisters Trisha and Mary who preceded him in death. Also his 6 grandchildren. On November 27, 2015, Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Liz P. (Hill) Lysaght. Jack will be buried in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with Military Honors on Friday, February 20th, 2026 at 10 AM.
