John "Jack" Hertzer, Jr

John "Jack" Hertzer; Age 85, of Moon Twp, PA passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026. Jack was preceded in death by his beloved wife Rose (Bash) Hertzer whom he married on May 30, 1964. Cherished father of John A. Hertzer (Helen) of Moon Twp and Stephen P. Hertzer (Lisa) of Wexford. Companion of Antoinette Garuccio of Moon Township. Brother of Betty Yawn (late Archie) of Owensboro, KY, James Hertzer (Janet) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Charles Hertzer (Judy) of Bridgeville, PA, Shirley Seibel (Charles) of McDonald, PA and Janet Coombs (Dave) of Omaha, NE. Grandfather of John N. Hertzer (fiancé Savannah Sterohmeyer), Samuel S. Hertzer (fiancé Abigail Kengor), Zane Stephen Hertzer and Evangeline Marie Hertzer. Jack was a proud US Army Veteran having served his country during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He also worked for 25 years as a Turn Foreman with LTV Steel. Friends will be received at the R.D. Copeland Funeral Home, 981 Brodhead Road, Moon Twp, on Monday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 pm. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 3rd at 11:30am followed Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church at 12 Noon followed by military honors at the church.
