John A. Sonson

John Sonson, 72, passed on Friday, October 1, 2021. Beloved husband of 43 years of Connie Sonson; loving father of John (Christine) Sonson, Jody (Kenny) Bish, Jeffrey (Rhonda) Sonson, Jason Sonson, Michelle (Jeremy) Smith and Felicia (Billy) Boris; brother of Marilyn (Arthur) Couts, Lisa (Dave) Amistade and the late Richard (Surviving spouse Peggy) Sonson. Also survived by 17 loving grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. John was a dedicated family man who loved his grandchildren and watching play sports. He enjoyed life, smoking cigars, watching sports, playing golf, camping and many activities. He was very proud to have served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War era and the U. S. Air Force Reserves in support of the Desert Shield/Storm Operation and retiring as a Tech Sergeant. Friends received on Tuesday from 5 – 8 pm at R. D. Copeland, Inc., 981 Brodhead Road, Moon Township. Funeral Service and interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
