It is with great sadness that we share the loss of our loved one. John H. May 63, of Coraopolis Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at his home on September 29, 2025. John was born on October 14, 1961 in Kennedy Township, one of five children to the late John M. and Elizabeth “Betty Ann” (Monks) May. John was a graduate of Montour High School, class of 1979, where he also enrolled in Parkway West Tech School for Autobody. John was known for always having a “project” and a Harley Davidson or two in his garage, where he spent most of his time. At an early age, he was fascinated with motors and Parkway only helped fuel that fire. He went on to work at a motorcycle shop on Narrows Run Rd. That's where his love for motorcycles started. John was a life-long worker and moved on to advance in his career at Allwaste Containers, Philip Services, and Quala Wash from 1996-2013. In 2014, John became the Public Works Manager of the Borough of Coraopolis. When John wasn’t working or completing projects in the garage, he enjoyed time at home grilling or relaxing at his pool with family and friends. John was thrilled to recently marry the love of his life Denise Bobincheck, his longtime partner of 13 years; loving father of Nicole (Michael) Woodard, Shannon (Ryan) Del Vecchio, John Michael May, and Mikayla Sallese; proud grandfather of Preston, Jaxon, Airyana, and Luca; cherished brother of Janet (Mike) Proulx, Carol Stenzel, Regina (Dom) Vasselo, and Robert May; also, many nieces and nephews. Also survived by his former wife of 26 years, Tammy May. John was also a lover of dogs. He leaves behind his loyal companion Bella, his French DeBordeaux Mastiff who will miss him dearly. He will be rejoining his former companion Rosie, his first De Bordeaux. Both of which were very special to him and were rescues from South Hills Pet Rescue. Please join us on Friday 2-4, and 6-8 at Copeland’s Coraopolis, 867 Fifth Ave., Coraopolis, PA 15108. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in his name to South Hills Pet Rescue, P.O. Box 224, Monaca, PA 15061. or Venmo to South-hills-pet-rescue-88
