John Alexander Lorenc, 76, a life-long resident of Coraopolis, passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Quality Life Assisted Living-Apollo. He was born in Sewickley on October 12, 1947, one of two children to the late John Alexander and Helen (Gaber) Lorenc, Sr. John was a gifted and talented woodworker. His career in carpentry spanned 30 years where he had worked closely with Rudy Bolea on quite a few projects. John also loved camping, especially at Hearts Content Campgrounds. He enjoyed it when his grandchildren visited the camp. It was there that he would teach his grandchildren about camping, fixing things for neighbors and building. Pappy, as he was known, loved his grandchildren and being surrounded by family and friends. John was preceded in death by his wife Betsey Lorenc, his former wife Crystal E. Lorenc, his sister Mary Jane Belmonte and his nephew Rocco Belmonte. He is survived by his loving children John Allen Lorenc and Channon Dawn Lorenc; stepsons Jerry (Jesse) Luster, Fred Luster, and Michael (Amanda) Froman; proud Pappy to Michele, J.J., Tristan, Jayda, Kaleb, and Jemma; and additional grandchildren and great grandchildren; cousin of Paul Betlyn; uncle to Marcus, Paul, Roman Belmonte, Shelby Wong; great uncle to Romeo; also his beloved dog “Bubba”.
