John W. Dudash, Jr.

John W. Dudash, age 92, of Moon Twp., died on Sunday, May 29, 2022. He was the beloved husband of the late Joan B. Dudash; loving father of Ruth (James) Ciarrocca, Sharon (John) Hajostek and Denise (Mark) Claytor; dear and loving friend of Genevieve Fisher; loving grandfather of Elizabeth (Matthew Blashill) Ciarrocca, Lindsey (Scot Whiskeyman) Ciarrocca, Michelle Hajostek, Sarah Hajostek, Megan (Kevin) Stockton, Jennifer (Nick) Hajostek Mieczkowski, Jacob Hajostek and Colton Claytor; great grandfather of Zachary, Donovan and Nicholas Blashill and Jordyn Hajostek and Madison Stockton. John graduated from Redstone HS in 1947 and continued his education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Engineering, graduating in 1955, he served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War, receiving the occupation medals for service both in Korea and Japan. After his service to his country, John worked for the H. H. Robertson and Dravo Corp. as a civil engineer. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and enjoyed golf, bowling and running in his pastime. John’s family would like to express their deep appreciation to the staff of Chapel Pointe in Carlisle, PA and Homeland Hospice for all of the loving and devoted care that they provided. Friends received at R. D. Copeland, Inc., 981 Brodhead Road, Moon Twp., on Thursday 4 – 7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Margaret Mary Church at 10 am. (Everyone please meet at church). In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2835 E Carson St Suite 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15203.
