John W. “Jack” Bush

June 15, 1938 – May 24, 2025

John W. Bush, lovingly known as “Jack,” of Sewickley, PA, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, at the age of 86.  He was a devoted husband to Virginia “Ginny” Bush, his partner in life and love.

Jack was born on June 15, 1938, in Williamsport, PA—the hometown of the Little League World Series. His early roots helped shape his lifelong appreciation for tradition, history, and community.

A longtime member of Saint James Church in Sewickley, Jack also enjoyed attending St. Mary’s Church in Pittsburgh over the years. His faith and sense of belonging to a spiritual community brought him comfort and connection.

Jack proudly served his country in the United States Military, working at the Pentagon in the Communications Department. After his service, he built a long career in the printing industry serving as President of H.L.Crawford Associates. He spent over 50 years helping businesses throughout Pittsburgh—always with dedication.

Jack had a curious mind and a strong-willed soul. He loved reading, classic films, and diving into history. He found great joy in restoring and caring for his 185 year-old home—a true labor of love that reflected his deep respect for the past.

He and Ginny shared many special moments exploring small, charming towns throughout Pennsylvania and spending relaxing winter weekends in Florida. Together, they found joy in life’s simplest moments.

Jack will be dearly missed by his wife, Ginny; his children: Christine (Mike) Connorton, Barb Pugh, Jimmy (Dawn) Bush, John Bush, and David Bush (Tim McVay); his sister, Ree Finken, and brother, Jim (Jo) Bush.

He was a proud grandfather to Casey (Kenneth) Carnes, Courtney Connorton, Sammie Pugh, Karen Pugh, Johnny Pugh, Ryan Bush( Rylee), Katie Bush, Erin Bush, Mallory Bush, and great-grandfather to Leo Bush. He was also a proud uncle to his niece Sherri Bush and nephews Steve, Doug (Cara) Finken, and late Jeff Finken, and great-nephews Desmond and Theo, Nicholas, Patrick and great niece Katie.
