Jennifer Mae (Carson) Roppa was born on April 20, 1975, to Terrence and Judith Carson of Sewickley Heights.

A creative and intelligent child, Jennifer loved exploring the woods of Sewickley Heights with her little sister, of whom she was fiercely protective. As a teenager and young adult, she followed the Grateful Dead and developed a love of gardening. She had a free spirit, a memorable cackle of a laugh, and a personality that those who knew her will not forget.

Jennifer and her former husband, Brian Roppa raised two wonderful sons, Skylar (Alyssa) Roppa and Clayton Roppa. A Quaker Valley graduate, she received her Bachelors Degree from Robert Morris University and spent many years working for her family accounting practice, Carson and Co.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her father, Terry Carson; her sister, Tracy Sundberg; and her sister-in-law, Karla Horne. She is survived by her mother, Judy Carson; her brother, Wesley Horne; her sister, Robyn (Douglas) Jones; her sons, Skylar (Alyssa) Roppa and Clayton Roppa; and her grandchildren, Carson, Nora, Elijah, and Logan. She is also survived by her nephew, Jacob Jones; her nieces, Gabrielle Sundberg, Victoria Sundberg, Caroline Jones, and Lillian Jones; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Those who loved Jennifer will remember holiday marathon baking, Large family Christmas dinners with wrapping paper wars, family beach trips, her unmistakable laugh and huge smile, and the image of Jennifer in the 1990s with her Firebird and black leather jacket.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Church at Grove Farm, 249 Duff Road, Sewickley, PA 15143, with a reception to follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Christ Church at Grove Farm, which Terry and Judy Carson helped to found, to carry on their legacy of sharing Christ's love with others.

Her battle is over now. Jennifer is at peace, in the arms of the Lord.
