Jennifer Giotto, 59, of Sewickley, passed away comfortably in her home on Sunday, July 21, 2024.
Born on January 15, 1965, in West Point, New York, she was the daughter of Joe and Nancy (Fox) Otto. Jen lived in Sewickley for most of her life. She attended Sewickley Academy until she moved to Charlottesville, Virginia, to attend the University of Virginia. After graduating with a degree in Political Science, she returned to Pittsburgh and received her law degree from Duquesne University. It was there that she met her husband, Gene (63). She lived in Edgeworth until her passing.Jen’s enthusiasm for life and those in it led her to be involved in the Sewickley community. She enjoyed cooking, racquet sports, golfing, and spending time with her family and friends. She also loved traveling with her family and friends.
In addition to her activities and travels, Jen was fulfilled by giving her time back to others. She volunteered for the after-school care program at Edgeworth Elementary, reviewed applications and interviewed merit scholarship candidates with UVA’s Jefferson Scholars Foundation, and was an active member of the board of directors of Sewickley’s Union Aid Society.
Jen is survived by Gene and their three children, Lea (Andrés), Gabriella, and Jacob; her mother and father; and siblings, Mark (Lori) Otto, Chris (Pete) Flanigan, and Steve Otto, and numerous nieces and nephews.
St. Stephens Church in Sewickley will hold a funeral service on August 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.
