Jeffery Stephen Prekop

Jeffery Stephen Prekop, of Moon Township, passed away peacefully but unexpectedly, on Monday, August 17, 2026. Jeff was born in Sewickley on May 4, 1969, to Freda (Pack) and the late Edward Prekop. Jeff was an auto mechanic. He loved heavy metal music, playing drums, and strumming on his electric and bass guitars as well as dabbling in computer coding. Jeff loved cruising in his 2011 bright red Dodge Charger, meandering on the scenic back roads, stopping mid route to take in the beauty of nature, and feeling in tune with nature, just relaxing.  Jeff is survived by his beloved mother Freda Dotson; his children:  Zachary (Samantha), Isis, and Damien; his granddaughter Maia; siblings: Alan Prekop, Sheilah (Scott) Magnani, and Kerri (Mike) Gardner; nephews and niece: Scotty (Rebecca), Sarah (Stephen), Jared, Justin, and Cody (fondly remembered as his best friend, “Codeman”); his great nieces and nephews: Autumn, Chloe, Lauren, Henry, and David.
