Jeanne Marie (Reith) Grogan

Jeanne Marie (Reith) Grogan 96, passed away peacefully on August 17th, 2021. Born April 18th, 1925 filled to the brim with steel, grit, class, and sass; this brilliant woman grew up on Troy Hill, helped raise her siblings Lois and John, and landed herself the love of her life on the golf course of all places! Settling down in Moon Twp to raise 3 wonderful children with Bobby, Jeanne thrived- building lifelong friendships, traveling to Quebec, the Rockies, and Ireland, all while honing her incredible quilting skills. There was always a needle & thimble around the house and a return bag to Macy's on the stairs. This Depression-Era Gal would send us all on epic quests with coupons in hand, to save 10 cents or find the best deal but that was Jeanne: frugal, funny, wildly intelligent, stubborn, vivacious, and one of the best storytellers that ever lived. She loved her family and loved life! Know that she LIVED and was LOVED! Jeanne is survived by her sister Lois Cole; 3 children Lisa, Mark, and Sean; 6 grandchildren Jessica, Michael, Sean, Garrett, Noah, and Ellington; and 3 great-grandchildren Owen, Joshua, and Hannah. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary’s in Moon Twp, August 23rd, 2021 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Arthritis Foundation and Susan J Komen. Arrangements entrusted to R.D.
