Jane (Wilharm) Sambolt

Jane (Wilharm) Sambolt, 96 years young, a Robinson Township resident since 1951, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Heritage Valley Kennedy. Jane was born in Braddock, PA on May 1, 1926, one of two children born to the late William and Mary Ethel (Furry) Wilharm. On October 30, 2007, Jane was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Rudolph J. Sambolt; She was also preceded in death by her brother William F. Wilharm and her son-in-law Randy Mazzocchi. Jane was a 1944 graduate of Replogle High School, Bedford County. She went on to Presbyterian University Hospital School of Nursing graduating in February of 1948. Jane became a Registered Nurse in the Cadet Nurse Corp. Jane was a faithful and involved member of Coraopolis United Methodist Church. She was involved in the Wesleyan Service Guild, United Methodist Woman, The Bell Choir, and Church Women United- Pittsburgh District. Jane was the beloved mother of Randy (Nancy) Sambolt of Hudson, WI, Diane (Ronald) Rizzo, Barbara (Donald) King, all of Robinson Township, Mary Beth Mazzocchi of Maple Grove, Minnesota, and Thomas (Janie) Sambolt of Mt. Lebanon; also 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Jane was always involved in her children’s lives. In their young years, she taught Bible School and helped with the Children’s Church Choir. In their later years, as their families grew, she was there for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jane had a great sense of humor all of her life, was always kind and looked forward to helping others. About 9 years ago, Jane moved her residence to Willow Heights Independent Living, Kennedy Township. There, she made many friends, was an energizing catalyst to others, was very active socially and involved in many activities. A Memorial Visitation Will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022, from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM at the Coraopolis United Methodist Church, 1205 Ridge Ave., Coraopolis, PA 15108. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to the music program of Coraopolis United Methodist Church.
