Jane V. (Fischer) Branton, 93, a resident of Masonic Village for the past 9 ½ years, formerly of Sheraden, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2025, at Heritage Valley Sewickley. She was born in Pittsburgh on February 9, 1932, one of two children to the late Francis and Florence (Meenan) Fischer. On November 22, 2014, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Archie J. Branton, Jr. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Fisher. Jane is survived by her three beloved children, Colleen (Hugh) Happel, Archie J. (Carla) Branton III, and Lynn (David) Coughenour; and her 6 cherished grandchildren, Sean Happel, Kevin Happel, Kyle Branton, Rachel Coughenour, Blair Coughenour, and Reed Coughenour. Jane was a devout Catholic and a member at St. Mary’s in Glenfield. An avid reader, she was very involved in the Pittsburgh Public Library. Jane was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending summers with her family at their cottage in Cochranton, PA. Since February 9, 1972, many special memories were made there and will be shared generation to generation. Copeland’s Moon Township handled private arrangements. She will be placed with her husband at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
