James Robert Vidmar

James Robert Vidmar, 69, of Jamestown, PA, formerly of Robinson and Kennedy Township, passed away peacefully in Moon Township, with his family by his side, on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. He was born in Pittsburgh on December 16, 1953, to the late Louis and Theresa (Klein) Vidmar. Beloved husband for 34 years to Bonnie (Libby) Vidmar; loving stepfather of Jeffrey (Stace), Scot (Paul) and Sean (Gina) Mealey; proud grandfather of Larrisa, Sydney, Hunter, Harrison “Blake”, Chandler, Ean and Stella “My Sunshine”; also, five great grandchildren; cherished brother of Eileen Iorio (Ron), Marsha Dickson, Tracey Hennen (Carl); Uncle “Geeg” to many loving nieces and nephews. James was a 1971 graduate of Montour High School. He was a well-respected supervisor of national gas line construction, working for Alex Paris Contracting and Lineal Industries. A rugged outdoorsman, Jim was an avid hunter and an occasional fisherman. He was an enthusiastic Pittsburgh Steeler and Pirates Fan. Jim was also known to like gambling and he and his wife would always set their sights on Las Vegas, NV. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday (Oct. 28th) from 1 PM until time of the memorial service at 2 PM at Copeland’s Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Rd. A celebration of life will be held later in Linesville, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in his name to VFW Post 7842, Linesville, PA 16424.
