James G. Hooper

James G. Hooper; Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

He loved his family with all of his heart. James is preceded in death by his father George Hooper, his mother, Stella (Lenkoski) Hooper and his sister Patricia Hooper. He is survived by his two daughters shared with Pamela Burford, the love of his life, Molly Frankos (Mike) and Melissa Hooper (Emi Golnazarian). He brought immense joy to his grandchildren. He was so much more than Uncle Bo to his nieces and he felt the same. He retired from the Heat and Frost Insulators Local #2. He remained in touch with his coworkers that became friends along the way.

He loved his time spent at the VFW in Johnstown. It was the people around him that made it feel like home. He lived his life to the fullest on his own terms. Friends will be received at the R.D. Copeland Funeral Home, Irving Chapel, 702 Beaver Street, Sewickley on Wednesday, January 21st from 11:30 am – 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the Blackburn Church of Sewickley Heights beginning at 2:30pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the VFW Post 155, 651 Lamberd Avenue, Johnstown, PA. It was a place full of friends and a foundation he believed in.
