James N. Gryck, Sr., 79, a long-time resident of Moon Township, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Pittsburgh on July 2, 1945, to the late Joseph and Margaret (Scabareti) Gryck. On December 20, 2022, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Carol Ann (Hartman) Gryck. Beloved father of James (Alana McKeel) Gryck, Jr. and Jennifer (Michael) Jones; loving grandfather of Christian (Megan Grzesiuk) Griffith, Zack McKeel, Aiden Gryck, Jacob McKeel, Isabella Gryck, Dominic Jones, and Vincent Jones; cherished brother of Michele (Richard) DeLuca. From a young age, James was fascinated with computers and technology. While serving in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, he began his career working on computers with the job of crypto repairman. After discharge, he worked his way up to national manger for Texas Instruments before opening the first of his own businesses, Integrated Solutions. James also enjoyed splitting his time between his home in Myrtle Beach where he still served as an officer on the HOA board and the security committee, as well as other board related positions for over 15 years. Per the family, all services are private. Arrangements by Copeland’s Moon Township. Burial will be at Jefferson Memorial with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name, if desired, to Wounded Warriors.
