Henry J. Niemeyer, Jr.

Henry "Harry" Julius Niemeyer, Jr. Age 89 of Crescent, PA passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024 at home surrounded by family. Beloved husband of 25 years to Janet (Slack) Niemeyer. Harry was preceded in death by his first wife of 40 years Hazel Marie (McElrath) Niemeyer in 1997. Father of Phyllis (John) Kammermeier and Elaine (Robert) Schreiner. Step-father of Emily Matsko. Brother of Julia (late Sidney) Foxwell and twin brother of the late Donald (surviving Spouse Victoria) Niemeyer. Grandfather of Sharon (James), Ashley (Carl), John Jr. (Vanessa), Henry (Chelsea), Evelyn and Aaron. Great-grandfather of Robert, Josef, Caris, Zachary and John III. Harry was a Korean War veteran in the US Marines. After serving his country, he worked as a pipefitter with AFL-CIO Steamfitters Union #449. He also aided his community in working for Valley Ambulance Authority as a paramedic for 15 years. Another of Harry's true passion was metal detecting. He was one of the founders of Beaver County Metal Detectors. In his spare time, he enjoyed working with the Boy scouts teaching the hobby of metal detecting. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodcarving, wine and jewelry. The family will receive friends at the Gospel Tabernacle Church, 100 Parkridge Drive, Aliquippa on Saturday December 14th from 11 AM until the time of Memorial Service at 11:30 AM. Interment will be PRIVATE.  Arrangements entrusted to R.D. Copeland Funeral Home, Moon Twp.
