Helen E. (Murphy) Grundy

Grundy, Helen E. Age 89, a longtime resident of Moon Twp, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023. Born September 9, 1933, a daughter of the late Walter and Margaret Murphy. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence Frederick Grundy. Cherished mother of Lori (Kim) Shannon, Thom Grundy (Terease Rerko) and the late Lawrence F. Grundy, III (surviving spouse Cynthia). Sister of Richard (late Jean) Murphy, Kenny (Francine) Murphy, Alan (late Pat) Murphy, Robert (late Kathy) Murphy and the late Donald (late Jan) Murphy. Grandmother of Will (Kayla) Grundy, Nick Grundy, Mike, Ryan (Lindsay Serridge), and Sarah Shannon (Jon Fetch) and Shelby (Robert Chappel) and Patrick Grundy. Also survived by 4 great-grandchildren: Marley, Capri, Calvin and Luna. Helen enjoyed her weekly bowling league, traveling with her husband and socializing with all the ladies. She also relished her water aerobics which she did up until just a few years ago. Friends will be received at the R.D. Copeland Funeral Home, 867 Fifth Avenue, Coraopolis on Monday, May 22 from 5 - 8 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:30 am with Rev. Randall Clow officiating followed by entombment at Coraopolis Cemetery.
