Alyce Erdeljac, 79, of Moon Twp., passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospice House, Wexford. Born September 5, 1941 in Sewickley, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Wagner) Welch.
After graduating from Coraopolis High School in 1959, she attended Pittsburgh Beauty Academy receiving her teaching certificate, continuing her education at the Trevor Sorbie School for Cosmetology in London, England. She was a proud owner operator of “Pieces of Eight” hair salons among other businesses. Alyce also taught at the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy and Chvasta Beauty School in Moon Twp.
Alyce had many interests including reading and working with stained glass. She freely donated her time visiting senior citizen homes, styling hair for residents. She enjoyed monthly luncheons with her high school classmates.
Alyce will be remembered and missed by her loving husband of 58 years, Joseph R. Erdeljac; her children, Leanne Erdeljac of Moon Twp. and Ron Erdeljac of WPB, FL; her sister, Judi Todd and her brother, Jack (Leslie) Welch.
The family would like to thank Dr. Dina Dosch and the caring nurses, aides, and volunteers at Good Samaritan Hospice House for their special and loving care of Alyce.
Private service at Resurrection Cemetery. Arrangements by Copelands. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
