Helen (Swetz) Dolgos

Helen (Swetz) Dolgos,102 years young, formerly of Neville Island and Sewickley, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 14, 2020 at Sherwood Oaks. Born in Washington, PA on July 30, 1918, she was the last survivor of six children to the late John and Mary (Skrabak) Swetz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Dolgos; and her five siblings Mary, John, Joseph, Steve and Augie Swetz. Helen is survived by her nieces and nephews. Helen was a devout Catholic and a member of both St. Joseph and St. James Churches. Never having any children, Helen had the biggest heart, was generous, just a happy soul who cherished her nieces and nephews. She also loved the Lockhart family of Squirrel Hill for whom she worked. She was an accomplished seamstress and knitter. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church on Friday, Sept. 25, 2020 at 10 AM. Please meet at Church. Burial will be private next to her beloved husband at St. Joseph Cemetery.
