Heather L. Summers

Heather L. Summers, a kind-hearted and sincere person, age 57, a Moon Township resident since 2001, formerly of Pennsbury Village, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. Heather was born in Juneau, Alaska on February 14, 1965, one of two daughters to Betty Bragg and the late Robert Summers. Heather was a graduate of South Park High School, class of 1983. She obtained her Associates degree from the Community College of Allegheny County in Business Administration. Honest and genuine, Heather had a great work ethic and was a respected legal secretary for Babst, Calland, Clements & Zomnir, P.C. of Pittsburgh. Heather married her perfect life partner on July 8, 1995, her husband, Jeffrey Olander. They had two beautiful daughters Madison Lee Olander of Pennsbury Village and Mackenzie Jo Olander of Moon Township. In addition to her husband and daughters, she is survived by her mother and stepfather Betty and Robert Bragg of Linesville, Pennsylvania and her sister and brother-in-law Robin and Sean Murphy of Eagle River, Alaska. Heather loved being a mom, attending and supporting her daughters in their school activities, and was former President of the Moon Aqua Club. An avid reader, Heather was delighted to work at the Sewickley Public Library from 2015 to 2022. Heather also enjoyed scrapbooking, designing greeting cards, and taking care of her plants. Most recently, Heather pursued her faith journey by attending the Presbyterian Church of Coraopolis with her daughter, Mackenzie. They both decided to join the church. Heather was a thoughtful and caring person, always supportive of family and friends. Her loving nature will always be cherished, and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Heather requested no services. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her name to The Presbyterian Church of Coraopolis, 1201 Fifth Ave., Coraopolis, PA 15108.
